As real estate professionals, it’s our job to set our buyer clients up for success. The last thing you want is to have the buyer you’ve been working with for six months ultimately choose a different agent or buy a FSBO. Today I’m sharing the 10 criteria of a valid homebuyer that you should be using to make sure you don’t waste your time, your buyers get what they want, and you get referrals in the end. For example, they need to have a sense of urgency and be fully pre-approved before starting their home search in earnest. This means they’ve submitted all their tax returns and bank statements and have gone through the actual underwriting process—not some sort of automated underwriting.
